  • 3 bay leaves , chopped
  • 2 sprigs of basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 curly red chilies, sliced ​​obliquely
  • 1 egg beaten off
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar

  • 5 red onions
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 cloves of garlic

  1. Preparation this time is an important step to do because there are several ways of processing ingredients that are not listed in the recipe.   3. Remove the tempeh when it has been steamed evenly. Then prepare a container and put the tempeh into it after that, puree the tempeh using a pestle evenly. Set aside in a container later we will mix with other ingredients and spices. 

  4. For salted squid, you will be able to process this dish by brewing it in a container and pouring hot water into it. Brew the squid to reduce the salt content so it's not too obvious.

  5. When finished, remove and drain this dish evenly. Only after that, prepare a frying pan then add cooking oil and heat it evenly. Fry the salted squid until it is crusty. 

  6. Remove, then slice this material with a thinner size. Put it in a container and set aside while later this material will be used as a mixture.

How to Make Pepes Tempe Mixed with Salted Squid which is Warm and Delicious:

  1. To make this dish, please take the tempeh that has been mashed evenly then add the leunca along with the pieces of salted squid.

  2. Add the finely chopped scallions, then add the basil and bay leaf. Stir again with all other mixed ingredients. 

  3. Also add the curly chili along with coconut milk. Then pour the beaten egg into it. Season with salt and sugar and mix well. 

  4. After all the spices and ingredients are evenly mixed, the next step is to take a knife. Then give the tempeh dough and arrange it using a spoon. 

  5. Wrap it neatly and carefully, lastly pin a stick at each end to hold it back so that it doesn't fall apart again.

  6. Prepare a steamer and steam the tempeh into it using medium heat for about 30 minutes until cooked and blended.
