Materials

Main ingredients needed:

  • 65 ml of warm water
  • 250 grams of high protein flour
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of melted margarine
  • 1 egg _
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • enough cooking oil

Ingredients for the filling:

  • 80 ml ice water
  • 40 grams whip cream powder

Donut making process:

  1. Mix warm water and coconut milk in a bowl or glass until it becomes warm coconut milk.

  2. Prepare a separate container. Then mix the warm coconut milk, instant yeast, and sugar. Let stand for about 10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

  3. Add the eggs and mix with a whisk until evenly mixed.

  4. Pour the melted margarine and stir again until evenly mixed.

  5. In a separate bowl, add the flour and slowly pour in the wet mixture until everything is evenly mixed. Cover the wet and dry mixture with a damp cloth and let sit for about an hour until the dough rises.

  6. After the dough has risen, make the dough into 12 parts with a round shape. Save the dough that has been shaped on parchment paper so it doesn't stick. Leave it for another 20 minutes.

  7. Fry the dough on medium heat until golden brown. Make sure the dough is completely submerged in hot oil

Donut filling process:

  1. Prepare a container, mix the whipcream powder with ice water using a mixer for about 4 minutes or until the stuffing dough becomes stiff.

  2. Cut the donuts using a knife but don't cut them off then add the donut filling until it looks melted. 

  3. Sprinkle donuts with powdered sugar to taste.

Korean cream donuts are certainly very delicious snacks with a creamy taste and dense and soft texture. The manufacturing process is also very practical with raw materials that are easy to find.
