  • 2 tablespoons of rebon
  • 150 ml water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cm galangal, crushed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoons oil for frying

  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 6 red onions
  • 3 large red chilies

  1. We start this step by first cutting the tempeh and preparing the main ingredients of this recipe. Prepare in advance a placemat, knife and a container to hold the tempeh. Cut the tempeh into cubes about the size of 2x2 cm. Then put it in a container and set aside for a while before mixing with the other ingredients.

  2. Turn on the fire in a stove, then prepare a frying pan on it. Heat the pan evenly and put the cooking oil in it then wait until the oil gets hotter evenly.

  3. Put the tempeh pieces in it and fry this dish evenly for a while as long as the tempeh is more skinned and evenly distributed. Lift this dish using a spoon and then set this dish evenly.

  4. Only then will you be able to proceed with setting up the rebon. The trick is to prepare a medium-sized container and then pour the rebon into it and pour warm water. 

  5. Temporarily brew the rebon so that the salt content in it is not too large. So that when mixed with tempeh, the salty taste will not be too obvious. Then set aside. 

How to Make Delicious and Fragrant Oseng Tempe Rebon Creations:

  1. To make this dish, please prepare a frying pan, you can use a frying pan used to fry tempeh. Only, this time use a little cooking oil because we will be frying and don't need too much oil.

  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan until evenly cooked. Use a new fire then pour the ground spices into it and add the bay leaves along with the galangal. Then stir and stir-fry until fragrant and smells good from cooking this time. 

  3. When finished then put the tempeh into it along with the rebon and stir all this dish evenly until mixed. 

  4. Enter the sweet soy sauce and stir again all of these servings until the tempe turns into a more brown and evenly distributed. Pour also seasonings such as salt and pepper powder and mix again evenly.

  5. Put water in it to dissolve all the spices and cook this dish until the spices seep into the tempeh and other ingredients evenly.
