Materials

Main Ingredients Needed

  • 350 grams of medium protein flour
  • 300 grams of margarine
  • 100 grams of parmesan cheese
  • 100 grams of gouda cheese
  • 50 grams of cornstarch
  • 20 grams of powdered milk

Cake Spreading Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp liquid milk

Cake Topping Ingredients

  • 50 grams of grated cheddar cheese

  1. Prepare a container, add flour, cornstarch, and powdered milk and mix until evenly distributed, set aside.

  2. Grate the gouda cheese and parmesan cheese with a fine texture.

  3. Prepare a mixer, then beat the margarine for two minutes on medium speed.

  4. Add the flour mixture to the mixer and the finely grated cheese into the mixer slowly. Then stir with a spatula until evenly distributed.

  5. After the dough is formed with a smooth texture, roll it using a rolling pin with a thickness of about 1 cm.

  6. Grease the pan with butter.

  7. Print the dough using a kastengel cake mold until all the dough runs out.

  8. Mix egg yolks with milk until smooth. Spread the mixture over the surface of the cake and then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.

  9. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius and bake the cake for about 30 minutes.

Serving kastangel cake as one of the dishes to be served during Eid is always a good idea. This one cake can be a variant of pastries with a salty taste between pastries with a sweet taste which usually dominates.
