Main Ingredients Needed

  • 500 grams of beef brisket
  • 200 ml thick coconut milk

  • 20 pieces of curly red chili
  • 1 segment of turmeric
  • 1 piece of ginger
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg powder

  • 3 bay leaves
  • 4 grains of cardamom
  • 2 lemongrass stalks
  • 2 cloves of flower
  • 3  lime leaves
  • 1 sheet of turmeric leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of powdered broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Enough water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

How to Make Minced Curry Typical Padang

  1. The first step that must be done is, please take the meat you have provided. Then wash thoroughly under running water. If so, please cut into small pieces. Set aside.

  2. Next, grind all the spices as mentioned above.

  3. The next step is geprek lemongrass and galangal.

  4. After that, please prepare a pot and put water in it. Boil the water until it boils.

  5. Next, add the pieces of meat and boil for about 5 minutes to remove the remaining dirt on the meat. If you have, you can lift the meat and please throw away the boiled water. Please drain the meat.

  6. Take a frying pan and pour enough cooking oil or about 3 tablespoons. Heat.

  7. Then enter the spices that have been mashed together with lemongrass, galangal, lime leaves, sala leaves, cardamom, turmeric leaves, and Lawang leaves. Stir well and saute until fragrant.

  9. Then pour water until the meat is submerged. Stir well and cook until the meat is half tender.

  10. Add various spices such as sugar, salt and powdered broth. Stir until evenly mixed.

  11. Please add thick coconut milk. Keep stirring so the coconut milk doesn't break.

  12. The curry is cooked until the meat is cooked and tender, and the sauce becomes a little thick.
