  • 250 grams of prawns
  • 100 grams of wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

How to Make Tempura Dough

  1. First of all, mix the flour with baking powder and salt until evenly distributed
  2. Then beat the egg yolks until loose and add cold water. If needed add 2 ice cubes besides that you have to keep the dough cold. This will help to distinguish the temperature between the oil and the dough.
  3. Then pour the mixture with flour, stirring using chopsticks no more than 10 times. Dough that is stirred too much will make the shrimp not crunchy.

How to Fry Shrimp Tempura

  1. The first step is to sprinkle a little cornstarch into the cleaned shrimp
  2. Then dip the prawns into the flour mixture until all the prawns are coated, except for the shrimp tail
  3. Then fry the prawns for about 2-3 minutes until golden.
