  • 350 grams of tempeh
  • 1 tablespoon of rebon
  • 1 tablespoon Chinese petai
  • 1 cm bruised galangal
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 tablespoons oil for frying
  • 3 lime leaves, remove the leaves

Ground Seasoning:

  • 5 red onions
  • 1 cm kencur
  • 3 large red chilies
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 pieces of curly red chili

  1. To make this dish, the way you can do it is to first prepare the ingredients. This is because there are several ingredients in the recipe that need to be processed first before being mixed and cooked with other dishes. 

  2. The first ingredient in the recipe that needs to be processed is the tempeh. You can cut this dish first in the form of a box. Use a knife and do it on a mat to make it easier for you to do it.

  3. After that, heat a frying pan and put cooking oil in it. Heat it over medium heat then put the tempeh pieces in it and fry until it is crusty.

  4. When it is cooked, remove it using a spoon and set it aside in a container before you mix this material with other spices.

  5. Finish processing the tempeh, then please prepare the rebon and turn on the stove. Then use a new skillet and heat it over low heat without using oil. Please roast the rebon evenly until cooked and yellowish. Number then set aside.

  1. To make this dish, the way you can do it is to prepare a frying pan, you can use a frying pan used to fry tempeh. It's just that, use a little oil for frying. Heat the oil over medium heat on the stove.

  2. Then stir-fry the mashed spices that you have prepared. Also add additional spices such as bay leaves, galangal and lime leaves. Then cook and saute this dish until fragrant and wilted. 

  3. Put the tempeh into the stir fry and add the Chinese petai along with the roasted rebon. Stir well and season this dish with salt and additional sugar. Then stir all these ingredients until combined.
